Beautiful accommodation which is really close to shops and restaurants and beautiful Hagley Park for the botanic gardens and morning runs. The home is really well equipped and super comfortable. The place was clean, convenient, and reasonable. Took stars off because the damage deposit/payment process was quite off-putting. I doubt I'm the only one that has tried to complete Perfect Stays' "passport" process while travelling. I had to provide a photo of my driver's license and my face and credit card details -- info I have never been asked for by property owners. I opted for the $52 damage payment rather than a $500 damage deposit because I wasn't sure if this was some kind of an identity theft scam and that felt like the safer gamble. The whole model is weird and very stressful trying to do on the road. I think it would be more honest and straightforward if Perfect Stays just added a damage payment into the cost of rental. Our stay at this place was truly a perfect stay. The location is ideal, in the heart of Christchurch's central business district. The building is beautiful and the space is thoughtfully designed to maximize its utility. Every need is met here -- a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, snacks, cocktails, and chocolate. Stayed at the Eve Apartments in Christchurch. This place is gorgeous and so well laid out. The kitchen is amazing and it is so nice to curl up in front of the TV and fire on a cold night. So cosy!! Brilliant 1960’s house with decor to match. Stepping back in time. Very comfortable beds. Was a treat to be able to stay in a house like that. The only thing you need to be aware of is low ceilings so if you are over 6ft could be tricky - Nicole, Guest at The Athfield House
